All Student Success Coach duties with the additional duties of:-Led the coordination of Birmingham Promise orientation, coaching interventions, and success and retention efforts with postsecondary institutions as needed.-Provided leadership to the Student Success Coaching team.-Provided support with the onboarding of new Student Success Coaches.-Provided training and guidance to new Student Success Coaches to the team.-Occasionally led team meetings.-Facilitated the data audits and ensuring accurate data input in CRM.

-Provide individualized support and success coaching for Birmingham Promise students enrolled at one of the Promise postsecondary partners. -Cultivate a friendly, supportive environment and address students' individual needs, and help them to overcome any obstacles preventing their success.-Utilize specific coaching and academic counseling techniques to provide proactively, one-to-one-student conversations that acknowledge the unique needs of Birmingham Promise students.-Provide ongoing individualized outreach to students based on academic, financialand socio-emotional risk factors.-Collaborate with academic advisors and other campus partners to serve as a liaison between students and their respective postsecondary institutions, facilitating a seamless transition for students from admissions to graduation.-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant policies and procedures of the assigned postsecondary institution.-Develop, maintain and enhance relationships with colleagues, advisors, staff, and faculty to support student enrollment and success.-Develop a holistic individualized plan for success and implement proactive strategies focused on student academic success and persistence. Refer students to appropriate campus resources, groups, services, workshops, and activities based on their individual needs.-Conduct monthly individual meetings with students to assess the progression of academic, personal, and professional goals with an emphasis on connecting students to campus resources. -Conduct monthly group meetings to provide specific relevant information & resources to the assigned student cohort.-Facilitate bi-weekly group communications via email and online text messaging to engage student cohort, and respond to individual questions within 24 hours of initial contact.

Provided trauma-informed care and culturally sensitive services to those in need.

• Provided crisis counseling to callers through HELPLine and Suicide Line• Conducted individual counseling sessions for over 15 women experiencing abuse related trauma in HOPE Place shelter using techniques such as Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Relaxed Breathing, and Journaling• Co-facilitated a weekly group session at HOPE Place shelter for 1-6 women who are domestic violence survivors• Input information and referrals for children and families into the Help Me Grow Alabama database• Conducted intimate partner domestic violence follow-up calls to provide support and resources for adults experiencing harassment and assault

• Input information and referrals for housing for persons who fit the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) definition of homeless or at-risk of homelessness into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)• Assisted with annual Point-in-Time Count that uses data to assess homelessness in the U.S.• Conducted follow-up assessments within community outreach services to the homeless living in tent cities
