I collaborate, liaise and negotiate with educational teams within schools to deliver high quality speech language pathology assessment and therapy services which address barriers to learning and accessing the curriculum for students with communication difficulties. In addition to this, I provide consultative services and resources to assist the school team, parents, and other professionals to develop knowledge and skills to support students to reach their potential within a whole-school framework.

I provided individually tailored assessment and therapy to children from infancy to later school-age who have experienced developmental delays or trauma. I worked closely with families and other professionals utilising a trauma-informed & neuro-affirming approach which aimed to support speech, language, literacy and pragmatic communication development.

I worked within a multi-disciplinary team to provide support for children and young adults with high complex disabilities and medical conditions. I provided compassionate care to support clients with personal needs (bathing, dressing, toileting and medication) and meaningful access to the community. I accurately completed documentation in line with NDIS protocols and routinely provided feedback to the multidisciplinary team to ensure support was tailored to their individual needs.

8-week block placement at Toowoomba Hospital within the Child Development Service, managing a paediatric caseload of children aged 0-5. I worked closely within a multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment and intervention in the areas of speech, language, feeding, voice, fluency, hearing and multi-modal communication.

12-week sessional placement at Prince Charles Hospital, within the acute general medicine and oncology teams. I completed assessment and treatment for individuals with a range of presentations including Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, new or undiagnosed neurological conditions and respiratory disease in the areas of swallowing, language, speech and voice.

I worked within the allied health team to ensure quality, professional services and positive outcomes for clients across the lifespan with varying needs. I was responsible for independently delivering speech and occupational therapy services to clients within their homes.

10-week sessional placement within the Department of Education, with an early primary school caseload. I was responsible for assessment and intervention (individual and group) in the areas of language, speech and literacy within a whole-school framework.

6-week sessional placement within an early childhood education centre, with a caseload of children aged 3-5 years. I was responsible for completing assessments, analysing results and developing reports for a range of informal and formal tools.

I was responsible for monitoring debtor balances and managing customer finance accounts. In addition to this, I completed administrative duties, including managing the multi-line switchboard, filing and daily banking reconciliation.

I was responsible for creating logs utilising the gINT application for projects, aswell as preparing engineering reports and proposals for various clients. I also performed administrative duties, including managing the front desk, multi-line phone switchboard and client files & records.

I progressed from an entry level position in customer service to various positions in management. As a shift supervisor, I was responsible for managing the day to day operations of a high-volume restaurant across multiple locations.
