After finishing university with a fine art focused BA in Photography my passion for the outdoors and hiking led me to relocate to The Lake District National Park. My studies saw me take a deep interest in rural communities, the people of them, the landscapes and the heritage of them after growing up rurally in the small village of Tollesbury on the Essex coast myself. In 2018 I was awarded 2nd place in the Design Museum’s Student Awards following the brief ‘community and togetherness’ for a project about the community I grew up in and their relationship with Bradwell Nuclear Power Station situated close by. Excited every day by fellow artists that create work following these themes I am currently working as a Gallery Assistant in a gallery that works in collaboration with local Lake District artists.

  Running a gallery day to day, selling artwork, engaging and sharing knowledge with clients, receiving in new pieces from artists and processing them, working on display, curation and exhibitions as well as being part of The Digital Media Team working to update the website, photograph new pieces and run social media channels.
