Since I was little I have been drawing, painting and creating. As I grew older I focused on a career in animation, illustration and graphic design. Over time I eventually fell in love with the tradition of oil painting where I steered back to the canvas and spent my time in an artist studio. 2016 saw the opening of Studio 7 in Ipswich where I collaborated with a professional photographer turning our studio into a space for creative events, exhibitions and workshops. The end of 2016 saw a 3-month hiatus in the northern-most reaches of Vietnam, where I was involved in an artist in residency program at Muong Studio and Cultural Museum, Hoa Binh. This was an unforgettable experience and opened my eyes up to the world of opportunity that is available at our fingertips, if one is open to disrupting their comfort zone of a 9 to 5. 2017 kicked off with new art commissions and exhibitions from Ipswich to Paddington, such as a finalist position in Lethbridge Gallery's prestigious Small Scale Art Awards.Currently I am the artist in residence at Schudio Studio, a design studio and collective store, where I base my painting studio and also have works for sale in their retail space. Schudio is run by an artist and interior designer team bringing emerging artists, local handmade businesses and designers to the Top of Town in the Ipswich CBD. I am also recently appointed Creative Director for Link Properties to oversee their re-branding and expansion of their Real Estate business, which is set to officially launch mid-2018.Although my day to day as a painter is a one-woman profession, I truly believe in the power of networking with a variety of industries as you never know where opportunity may come from. I am an active player in advocating for those I know, like and trust, and open to meeting other professionals face to face to build our networks.
