Implementation of the City's Net Zero Existing Buildings Strategy (ExB Strategy) in support of Toronto's Net Zero by 2040 goal. Focus on the decarbonization of existing buildings, including residential and commercial through program design, delivery, stakeholder engagement and more.

- Lead and supported various sustainability projects for the City of Orillia, encompassing climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives. I directed the City’s first climate change adaptation strategy, leading staff and community stakeholders through a vulnerability and risk assessment evaluation and resiliency planning process, facilitated by ICLEI Canada.- Assisted in implementation of new public and fleet EV chargers and early development of a Green Development Standard. Prepare several grant and incentive applications (FCM, Intact, NRCan, etc.).- Conducted energy management analysis of City-owned facilities through bill analysis, custom spreadsheets, and discussions with facility operators.- Developed project documents including request for proposals/quotes (RFQ/RFPs), business cases for senior management, updates to council, and public engagement promotional material, including webpages.

- Managed applications and coordinated services for implementation of Enbridge low-income home energy retrofit program to reduce NG consumption and GHG emissions.- Delivered excellent customer service, resolved issues, and answered inquiries from members of the community.

- Conducted research into the energy needs of Canadian social housing providers to support the design of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ (FCM) new $300 million Sustainable Affordable Housing Program. Identified potential energy efficiency (EE) measures and facilitated stakeholder engagement to understand the needs of future program participants. - Quantified potential costs and carbon emissions of a provincial government’s sustainable transportation action plan including fleet electrification and EV adoption policies by creating a user-friendly cost and impact calculator tool in Excel. The estimated reductions were 62,200 tonnes of GHGs per year and the province is now implementing the programs to meet their emission reduction goals.- Evaluated the energy impact of a Canadian utility’s residential rebate program; interpreted survey results to identify key trends in the customer experience. Estimated energy savings and market impact and assisted in preparing results to present to the provincial energy board to fund the program in the next budget. - Researched Ontario’s electricity market structure, market outlook, demand response frameworks, and smart grid deployment to evaluate market potential for a new AI-driven energy-saving building automation system. - Prepared stakeholder engagement plan, analyzed existing vehicle charging infrastructure, and researched the local market of clean transportation to design a long-term municipal electric vehicle (EV) strategy.

My role consisted of conducting desk-top studies to define the potential for renewable energy generation through wind and solar at water and wastewater utilities across the US.
