I was a senior commissioning editor at Oxford University Press Children’s Books for 5 years before heading up the Creative Kitchen [the in house book development division] . I have worked in publishing for 15 years or so and one questions that I often get asked is: ‘how do you become a commissioning editor?’ I do my best to answer that in the blog I have linked to below.
