I'm Jasmine, a dedicated and driven lecturer currently specialising in Aviation, Travel and Events at Middlesbrough College. With previous experience in the Aviation Security and Event led Tourism. Since 2021, I have been a Lecturer at Middlesbrough College, teaching at FE and HE levels whilst challenging myself through my professional development. I take great pride in contributing to academic excellence by delivering high-quality teaching and learning practice, using a variety of approaches to student learning and engagement. I accommodate different learning styles and maximise knowledge transfer, providing a student experience to be proud of. I am a MSc graduate with a demonstrated history of working in the recreational facilities and services industry. Previously a Teacher and Pastoral Assistant at a Yorkshire Independent College, supporting students in a boarding environment as well as a Team Leader and Teacher at an organisation that saw me travelling and teaching abroad in Illinois, Wisconsin and Hong Kong.Previous to academia, I spent 7 years in the Events and Tourism Industry. My role as a Project Coordinator was a pinacol role which solidified my love for the industry and showcased my passion to share with others. I harness my real-life experiences to enrich my teaching and illustrate theoretical approaches to my students. I am skilled in Event Planning, Microsoft Excel, I have gained strong experience in Customer Service and Event Management. A career which continues to be heavily academically driven in an educational setting.
