Jasmine Taylor has been a transformative leader in the social sector since the age of 16, when she founded her first nonprofit initiative with the Constitutional Rights Foundation and Rebuild LA in the wake of the 1992 Los Angeles uprisings. This early commitment to justice and community empowerment set the foundation for a career dedicated to driving systemic change.A graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy, Jasmine co-founded a charter management organization that launched Community Harvest Charter School (CHCS) and Community Harvest Foundation (CHF) in South Los Angeles. Under her leadership, CHCS achieved a 99% graduation rate, earned recognition as one of U.S. News & World Report’s Top 100 High Schools, and became a model for equitable education in underserved communities.Over the years, Jasmine has expanded her impact, spearheading bold initiatives to tackle educational inequities, intergenerational poverty, and community development nationwide. Grounded in her belief that a zip code should never dictate a person's destiny, she has built partnerships and programs that have touched thousands of lives, empowering individuals to rise above systemic barriers.Jasmine’s dedication to equity and social justice has earned her numerous accolades, including the Reinhard Mohn Fellowship, the National Urban Fellowship for social justice in education, and the Diamond Award for Education. She is also a distinguished CORO Women in Leadership alumna. Her academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, complementing her extensive expertise in policy, strategy, and organizational leadership.As the founding Executive Director of Build Hope, Inc., Jasmine leads with a compelling vision for a more equitable future.
