My journey started with speech language pathology. I knew I wanted to work with kids, specifically those on the spectrum. However, I didn’t know in what capacity. I received my Bachelors degree in Communications Disorders from the University of Tennessee in 2015. After taking some time off, I realized that being an SLP wasn’t going to satisfy my passion. I began to do my research and realized that ABA was everything that I wanted to do and more. I have been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since June 2017. I worked as a Behavior Technician for 3.5 years before finally achieving my goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in April of 2021. Working as a BCBA and collaborating with my peers is my favorite part of the job. I love coming together to develop the best plan possible to help a child thrive. I love bouncing ideas off of each other and using my peers to learn even more about interventions and different approaches. I love working with parents, teaching them about techniques, and helping them achieve the best relationship with their child. Most importantly, I love helping my kiddos find their voice.
