As HES Garden Co-Lead, I maintain the legacy of the La Loma Rooftop garden started in 2018 through The Green Fund Initiative in order to promote a safe space for students of color and educate the community about Latinx and native Californian plant species. I organize and execute workshops and field trips that center around Latinx cultural practices and environment education. Other tasks include managing our Instagram account (@hes_garden), grant management/applications, and maintianing our physical space during our open gardening hours
