Interplay Entertainment is an American software development company producing world renowned digital games for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo and personal computers. As Regional Sales Manager, I was responsible for expanding product distribution channels and creating joint business ventures within the Asia market, focusing mainly on Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, India and South East Asia. I provided continuous market intelligence to the then, Interplay CEO and Vice President, to identify new opportunities for strategic market expansion. Through frequent travels overseas to conduct economic and market research, attendance to local and international gaming trade shows and face to face meetings with key stakeholders, I recommended tailored business plans for each country and market with the objective of developing new and innovative ways to market and sell products to increase company profits i.e. building solid business relationships and business partners, achieving lower manufacturing costs, localisation of products and product advertising, selling at more attractive price points and expanding the marketing and distribution network as much as possible.Key AchievementsResponsible for first-ever product launch in India (2002), resulting in annual sales revenue growth of 900% compared to target.Consistently increased quarterly sales revenue by up to 300% compared to target in market regions of South East Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea whilst reducing product manufacturing costs by 20% by selecting more competitively-priced manufacturers.Increased repeat sales orders by 30 – 60% per year compared to target due to proactive client relationship management improving customer loyalty.
