Wish For Wash Dec 2014 - Dec 2019
    Atlanta, Us
Wish for WASH, LLC is a social impact organization that strives to bring innovation to sanitation through culturally specific design, research, and education. The findings from an initial toilet pilot that was conducted in Kenya under the auspices of Sanivation led to a series of product iterations in an effort to create a toilet that better meets user needs. In 2015, I led our Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that was over 100% funded to support our 2016 Zambian beta pilot. After securing funding, we manufactured, shipped, installed and monitored the newest version of the SafiChoo toilet in tandem with Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor Zambia (WSUP) and the Lusaka Water and Sewage Company (LWSC). This 10-week beta pilot that was conducted in a peri-urban compound in Lusaka, Zambia received positive feedback from the project stakeholders and the community which has led to an interest in scaling the SafiChoo toilet in the city.My tasks as the Founder and President are as follows: • LEADERSHIP: I lead all of the organizational outputs, administration, and project logistics as the director of our international and multidisciplinary team of 100+ exceptional students and professionals.I have been a public speaker at 100+ events and have represented Wish for WASH in 45+ media features including CNN Money, Inc, WIRED, Fast Company, WSBTV and TedxAtlanta• BUSINESS: I am the lead fundraiser and business designer via participating in competitions, conducting crowdfunding efforts, as well as pursuing grant applications and investment seed funding.• HEALTH PROMOTION/EDUCATION: I am the lead health promoter/marketer and visionary in the forms of public relations, media, outreach, and communications.
