As a research assistant, we use Drosophila genetics to uncover the mechanisms that control how cells build and maintain adult tissues. This involves the exploration of cells’ ability to move and how it contributes to tumor metastasis, a major cause of cancer. Currently, we are working on using uncovering the mechanisms of the Catsup gene to mitigate ER.
