I have 20+ years' experience in international news, most recently as a senior BBC journalist co-running the first video unit for BBC World Service English news programmes. I am a skilled project planner who has spent many hours assessing resource needs, managing people working in potentially dangerous conditions and negotiating budgets. I have excellent editorial judgement, as well as a sophisticated understanding of how language and visual imagery can best communicate complex messages to the general public.
