Throughout my work in the high-tech intellectual property sector, I have participated in the fields of blockchain systems, crashworthiness optimization, content encoding, video streaming, semiconductor design and fabrication, and satellite constellations.I currently work in the high-tech patent prosecution industry with a focus on the electrical engineering sector. My previous experience includes high-tech patent litigation including, drafting interrogatories and requests for production, preparing claim charts, and conducting relevant pre-suit diligence. Further experience includes legal and technical research, as well as necessary testing of the products at issue; testing frequently has included the reverse engineering of the allegedly infringing products.Prior to switching to a career in intellectual property law, I held a position as an electrical engineer in the electrical engineering department at Jacobs Engineering. While at Jacobs, I designed large scale electrical power distribution systems spanning various commercial applications, and oversaw their construction and completion in the field.Currently, I moonlight as an evening student at Suffolk University Law School where I am concentrating on intellectual property. I am currently a fourth year student, balancing my full time legal career with my evening law studies.

Senior Design ProjectWentworth Institute Of Technology Sep 2016 - Aug 2017Boston, MassachusettsMy senior design project was an experiment in the field of Radio Frequency Energy Harvesting. My teammate and I, Cody Dutra, did extensive research in the practicality and application of RFEH and designed our own working circuit with a productive outcome. Our design consisted of dual 1/4 wave dipole antennas, which were responsible for collecting the ambient electromagnetic waves. Because we had two antennas, we had two waves in the circuit. we used an inductor to phase shift one of the waves 90 degrees for improved rectification. Next we used an impedance matching design between the circuit and the antenna in order to create maximum power transfer between the two.The circuit required rectification and voltage manipulation because the voltage received was not enough to charge the storage element fully. The power conditioning involves the use of a voltage booster IC that is capable of outputting specific and regulated voltage, depending on the storage elements specifications. The conditioning circuit also uses smart switching, to automatically alternate the power between the direct RFE and the storage elements power, depending on the needs of the application. The stored energy can be called upon when at least one peripheral is connected. After our design was completed and functional, we wrote a patent application report. Although the design was not qualified to receive a patent, it was great experience in an overview of the process itself. Our mock application included a full report, along with claims and potential classifications.

Wentworth Lab AttendantWentworth Jul 2014 - Aug 2017Boston, MassachusettsThroughout the majority of my college experience at Wentworth, I was fortunate enough to have a work study role that was a constructive asset to my undergraduate education. I was the lab attendant for the main electrical engineering labs on campus. I was there to provide equipment and components, as well as knowledgeable assistance to the other students.Aside from helping my fellow classmates, I would often work closely with professors to get their upcoming labs ready. -
