execute the NASA project which involves identifying changes in gene expression of leafy plants under microgravity. perform RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, qPCR and data analysis. Other responsibilities include leading cell culture and drug testing experiments, molecular cloning, protein expression and purification, managing resources/budgeting and experiments for Ray labs, mentoring small groups of student, writing primary articles and maintaining lab records for every experiment. Incharge of inventory, ordering and leading a team of undergraduate researchers in bioinformatics based drug discovery, RNA research, molecular cloning experiments. In charge of Applied Biotechnology BIOL423. Taught advanced applied biotechnology concepts like recombinant protein technology, recombinant DNA technology, gene editing tools, transgenic plants, animals and microorganisms. Taught gene cloning and expression using Biorad's pGLO kit. Taught undergraduate researcher to setup, maintain and treat microbial fuel cells to obtain maximum power output. Led students to present poster in CURE research symposium.

Led projects that require Biochemistry/Molecular techniques/ microbiology/cell culture techniques like DNA cloning, PCR/qRT-PCR, Gel electrophoresis (agarose and SDS PAGE), scientific data interpretation, microbial cell culture, animal cell culture, troubleshooting/optimizing protocols, and Scientific writing. Led the bioinformatics based drug discovery project leading to multiple publications. Also experienced in working on and leading undergraduates on multiple bioinformatics+ wet lab projects and presentations, teaching undergraduates, assisting experiments and maintaining safe environment in laboratories.

Co-instructor for Applied Biotechnology. Taught advanced topics including protein therapeutics, sequencing, gene cloning, CRISPR, cell culture and stem cells etc., to undergraduates. Taught molecular cloning using educational kit, Lead CURE research which involved teaching undergraduate researchers to set-up and maintain microbial fuel cells and to study the effects of various chemical treatments to increase output.
