Starting January 2011 I am also working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Computer Science department at Colorado State University. I assist in designing student assignments, grading the assignments once completed, providing assistance to students when needed, and working in the department's computer lab as an operator who helps students from any class with either their coursework or with usage of the department systems.As of August 2010, I have been working on an updated version of a BGP monitor. My work has primarily been to update and document the XML-based output of the monitor, but I have also put in work on loop detection in the module that allows distant instances of the monitor to chain together.

During the summer of 2010, I was given the task to write scripts to analyze BGP dump data and determine reachability differences in major ISP's routing tables. I used Python, R, and unix shell scripts to accomplish this. I was also brought on to analyze and update a perl script that parsed the campus' e-mail log files, collated log entries for a single message, and removed any personally-identifiable information from the records.
