I am a committed Agilist and a highly motivated Certified ScrumMaster. I have2 years’ experience in Agile project management and 5 years' experience in training and Agile Coaching.As a life-long gamer, I've seen my share of bugs. However frustrating that was in the moment, it also helped me develop an affinity for quality and outstanding user experience. My career in tech started in Quality Assurance, where I developed my appreciation for customer needs and learned how to prevent issues and negative customer experiences. As I grew in QA, I sharpened my focus on the big picture of product delivery above all else. This business-level view helped me to excel as a leader and manager. It was then that I first encountered Scrum and became enamored with Agile and continuous improvement methodologies, eventually earning certification as a Scrum Master and as a Lean Six-Sigma Yellow Belt. I enjoy training and mentoring others in Agile methodologies as we learn to better identify customer needs. With 8 years' experience on continuous improvement teams, I've encountered both the highs and lows of Agile development and I value what it enables both in the dev environment, and for the customer. I strive to elicit engagement and ownership from all contributors and I help them feel the impact their work has on delivery. And yet, even with this focus, I believe this can all be done with a sense of fun and with the health of the team in mind. Whether I'm creating engaging presentations using hands-on or narratively exciting activities when coaching my team and peers or finding new and fun ways to reflect on the work we do, I am energized by working with people who want to improve both their work and their relationships. I thrive in fast-paced environments, where transparency and honest self-reflection matter and help us manage competing priorities and deliver transparent iterations of our work to our clients. I hope to continue my Agile education and enabling high performing development teams to iterate on their process and practices using the principles of Agile.
