Areas of accountability include management of a 40-million-dollar (and growing) portfolio of businesswhich includes Contractors Equipment, Motor Truck Cargo, Installation Floater, Real and PersonalProperty. Oversight of book of business included managing of underwriting objectives by internal carrierpartner. Delegating authority for team of new business and renewal underwriters. Actively cross sell bookof business for desired casualty lines. Assisted in developing internal budgets and target renewalretentions on in force book. Lesioned with Operations to improve processes around rating workbooks,forms, and endorsements. Lead six month annual and employee reviews in coordination with local humanresources and associated staff. Addressed performance and cultural issues when required. LeadDiscussion around compensation recommendations and employee recognition. Involved in Audit activitiesthrough carrier partners for semiannual compliance audit. Responsible for management of loss ratios byline of business. Developed underwriting infrastructure for innovative underwriting program offerings.Triaged large loss with claims and risk control for appropriate renewal underwriting on large accounts.

Actively manage a $2.5 million dollar ( Inland Marine ) and $3.5 Million dollar ( Select Risk / E&S ) book of new and renewal business which included review and acceptance of submissions. Lines of coverage included General Liability, Builders Risk, Medical and Scientific Equipment, Contractors Equipment, Warehouse Legal Liability, Motor Truck Cargo, Auto Liability, and Physical Damage. With nationwide assignments, solicitation activity is generated by visiting existing and prospective agencies and articulating line of business strategy to target and qualified insured's. Analyzed insured's for appropriate pricing, worked with management via referrals for acceptability and to facilitate an overall agency management plan to ensure acceptable loss ratios for profitable return.

Managed a new and renewal book of business through reviewing, qualifying, and analyzing potential insured's in the energy field. Coverage consisted of General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Workers Compensation. Responsible for visiting with agents in the South / South East soliciting new business opportunities and securing renewals through evaluating supplemental applications, financial statements, and loss experience. Sales strategy developed and refined through Zurich management to effectively grow book of business.

Accepts, rejects and modifies new and renewal business for all P&C lines on a $6.8 million dollar book of business: Auto, Workers Compensation, Property, General Liability, & Umbrella. Decline submissions which do not meet underwriting standard for the program and / or cannot produce a profit. Serve as a professional liaison with producers on behalf of the department. researches and analyzes contract issues. responds to telephone and written inquiries and initiates steps t assist callers regarding issues relating to the content and interpretation of insurance contracts.
