As part of WMG’s leadership team, I help lead the vision, mission and core values of our company. In a role that includes everything from acquisitions to asset sales, my position as Vice President of Development is an exciting one as every day brings new challenges and adventures. Each day I have the opportunity to manage and engage in all areas of our business. Whether it’s buying land to develop or purchasing existing buildings, I stay involved throughout each step of the development process. Continuing with the life cycle of the project, I like to make sure we keep a focus on quality facilities maintenance and tenant relations.One fascinating project was the purchase of a 33-bank package of unoccupied bank branches, most which are located the Southeast US. As a family-owned entrepreneurial company we are able to make swift, decisive actions. The turnaround on this purchase required us to get creative and close the deal quickly. A short time after purchase, we converted 15 of the properties into Heartland Dental offices and sold or repurposed the remaining 18.One of the many attributes that attracted me to WMG was the company’s integrity. I also evaluated credit quality and underwrote loans to minimize credit risk. My success in this position led to my promotion as Commercial Loan Officer.
