Performed, on a per-project basis, statistical analysis and writing work in a wide array of health specialties. A brief list of clients includes:◦ Orange County Vital Brain Program (reporting to Dr. Junko Hara), to manage a database of physical and digital patient records, perform statistical analyses, and interpret and present findings internally and at international conferences concerning patient diagnosis and care with Alzheimer’s disease.◦ Celavie Biosciences (reporting to Dr. Oleg Kopyov), to perform power analyses, develop statistical analysis plans, and support investigational new drug applications for FDA and grant-funded trials concerning neural and mesenchymal stem cell treatments for human Parkinson’s disease, non-human animal burn wounds, and other indications.◦ Chapman University, Department of Pharmacy Practice (reporting to Dr. Jerika Lam), to perform statistical analyses and write manuscripts for publication concerning presentation methods in educational outreach.◦ Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian (reporting to Sheila Porter), to perform retrospective statistical analyses on clinically collected data and write Methods and Results sections for academic publications with various hospital-affiliated doctors, in disciplines including cancer, infectious diseases, Parkinson’s disease, and tele-health programs.◦ Pegara (reporting to Shunsuke Ichihara), to advise on the latest research in Alzheimer’s disease, perform literature reviews and present them with formal reports, and develop scoring methodology for an app-based cognitive health and lifestyle program.

• Directed the informatics department, including the informatics advisory board and consultant statisticians, in research & development, regulatory adherence, and communication with partner scientists and institutions in Alzheimer’s disease and general cognitive health research.• Set goals and wrote statistical analysis plans for internal and grant-funded research opportunities, resulting in completed research support with the NIH under the small business innovation research grants (SBIR) program, project numbers 1R44AG065126 and 1R43AG074769.• Led the development of a cognitive model of learning and memory that quantifies the processes of encoding and retrieval that underlie behavioral performance on a multi-trial word recall test, partnered with the Mayo Clinic Study of Aging to apply this innovation, and integrated the resultant quantified cognitive processes in the national Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) database for access to the research community.

• Managed datasets of cognitive assessments and related data from partner organizations, including neurology clinics, universities, national and international research databases, and over 1M assessments from a long term care health insurance company.• Performed statistical analyses with frequentist and Bayesian methods to discover cognitive signals in clinical data for the early detection of impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease and presented the resultant findings internally and at international conferences.• Authored and supported manuscripts for publication, resulting in six published journal articles in 4 years, one of which was honored with the R. Duncan Luce Award for best paper in the Journal of Mathematical Psychology in 2023, “An application of multinomial processing tree models and Bayesian methods to understanding memory impairment”.

Assisted for and led group research projects under the direction of a faculty member. Responsibilities included project design and pilot testing, acquisition and creation of experimental testing materials, conducting collection of data from participants both in individual and group settings, cleaning and in-depth analysis of data, and reporting and disbursement of findings in academic media.

Assisted professors in lecture and laboratory courses. Wrote sample papers for students. Constructed concise assignment rubrics. Tutored students individually and in groups, in person and via email. Assessed written paper assignments in APA format on research topics.
