J.B'S BIOTo say the least, as I stand here on this face of Earth, I was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, IL. I was always into music from day one. Growing up in the "Old Projects", I was exposed to the streets and the way things were conducted on a daily basis there. Good. And bad. While running the streets, I found a hustle that has stuck with me until today. After moving around during my entire, young, adult life, I adapted to many different aspects of life, music, and talent of all walks. I moved to Atlanta, GA in 1998, where I saw how people networked and helped one another. So I applied what was taught from the streets, to the music game. I was always around talented musical people, such as family members and friends. So I decided to make my own mark on the music world. At first, we were going to other studios, spending time and money with no real results. So one day, I decided to buy my own studio equipment. That way we kept everything in-house and took our time making a quality product. I started IllTown Records Corporation in 2002 with a lot of Hot, Indie Artists from all over the U.S. We were doing shows every chance we could. After we did a tour in the summer of 2005, our name began getting the "Hype and Buzz" that it was deserving of. We collaborated with a lot of major artists. And we mixed and mingled with many major producers, managers, and labels. Now we are in 10 major states and one overseas country. We here at IllTownRecords Corp. have a big commitment to its fans, staff, team players, partner labels, etc. Unk, and myself are paving the way for this label to make history and leave a great legacy behind.
