Full range of English courses from developmental basic skills to transfer-level literature & composition. Usually teach English 21A/21B in the Fall and English 2 in the Spring. Have served on the Common Essay committee responsible for design and implementation of department Common Essay and teaching student CE workshop. Recently have served on department Student Equity committee, examining data on equity gaps in student success at the departmental and instructor levels. Taught First Year Experience Summer Bridge in 2006 and 2007. Tutored in Writing and Humanities Tutoring Center (WHTC) 2009-2010.

Careline, Inc. was the home office for a national chain of ambulance service providers, headquartered in Santa Ana, CA. For the VP of Risk Management, I handled all personal requirements, including correspondence, phones, travel arrangements and expense accounts, while maintaining the company legal files and coordinating communications with approximately thirty regional HR and RM managers via intranet. For the VP Human Resources I updated the HR manual and distributed it to the company’s satellites, produced a periodic HR newsletter for employees and maintained COBRA records for separated employees. I left the company on amicable terms as my start date at USC coincided with a friendly takeover of the firm, and I worked on due diligence compliance for the merger until I resumed graduate school.
