17 year educator who is passionate about all educational issues, especially Early Childhood education and literacy. I have done work nationwide as a school improvement specialist. Preciously, I worked for the New York State Education Department as the Director for the Office of Early Learning. Prior to that I worked in the Office of Accountability and the Office of Innovation and School Reform working with low-performing schools and districts to provide technical assistance for rapid quality improvement. All of this work at the state level would not have been possible without the 10 years I spend in the classroom as well as an Instructional Coach at Capital Region BOCES. I am a true believer, whether or not you are in the classroom, that once a teacher always a teacher. I am constantly staying on top of the most up to date information and strategies in the teaching world because I truly believe technical assistance and assisting schools and districts goes a long way and it ultimately improves student outcomes, which is the most important thing of all!7
