•Managed the day to day operations of the franchise’s five gyms from the corporate office and its approximately 40 employees.•Controlled staffing and implemented new hire and sales training programs on a monthly basis.•Insured our level of service at each gym is at its highest possible level for every customer.•Issued disciplinary warnings and eventual termination notices to underperforming staff members, as well as conducting interviews and issuing offers of employment.•Performed regular performance reviews for over 40 Club Managers, Assistant Managers, and Customer Service Representatives.•Directly contacted service providers to fix any plumbing, entertainment, computer hardware/software, or any other facility issue.•Worked with the Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure all cardio and weight equipment were fully functional at all times.•Calculated commissions and provided the totals to the Human Resource Director each month according to the Commission Schedule I created with the owner.•Received daily sales summaries via voicemail messages provided by Club Managers on the companies voicemail system and issued feedback on each clubs performance.•Created new promotion ideas and programs (i.e. Member Referral Program, A-Frame advertising, external and internal promotional banners) to help increase membership sales by more than forty percent since I’ve been General Manager.•Built a company Procedures Binder and Sales Guide from scratch for each facility to ensure every employee had access to policies and procedures they are expected to know and perform.•Presented reports each month to the owner that highlight our attrition and overall sales totals.•Created, implemented, and managed a brand change after being in business for over 30 years under the previous brand name.
