I have built a highly technical data science team from the ground up and I am responsible for the vision, development, and management of this team. I optimize team performance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide data-driven solutions to complex strategic and tactical challenges faced in our production facility. This is a highly collaborative role with operations, engineering, management, information technology, etc. I combine problem-solving, data-analysis, and technical skills to identify, quantify, and solve business problems. Our team is constantly challenging the boundaries of what is possible and I am responsible for hiring, developing and improving capabilities of current and future data scientists and data engineers. I also work with the team to generate algorithms, create advanced statistical models, and test and validate models that are scalable for production. We developed a web platform using PHP and JavaScript that allows us to deploy analytical solutions (coded in Python and R) to hundreds of engineers. This system was rolled out to all of the Micron sites worldwide and is used daily to solve semiconductor yield and quality problems.Through advanced knowledge of semiconductor engineering, statistics, and computer programming, my team strives to deliver prescriptive, actionable solutions to stakeholders. We pull data from a myriad of sources (including MS SQL Server, Hadoop, and Couch DB) and develop analytics and models to solve problems (using Python, R, TensorFlow, etc.).We work to discover and present business relevant “stories” to stakeholders using data visualization methods. I am also responsible for conveying corporate business initiatives, providing direction, and driving a clear understanding of line of sight to department and corporate strategic objectives within my team. I strive to encourage learning and to keep up to date on the latest developments and trends in data science tools and techniques.

As the Process Integration Data Analysis manager, I was responsible leading a team of engineers and technicians in analyzing fab electrical and manufacturing data to improve processes. I was responsible for hiring and developing and improving capabilities of data analysis engineers and technicians and supervised the process integration technician team. As part of our responsibilities, our team monitored critical electrical data trends and investigated shifts to find root cause solutions. We performed advanced data mining and investigation of complex yield and parametric issues. We were also responsible for performing machine and process analysis to understand sources of variation and highlight deviant or mismatched tools/processes. Other responsibilities included: analyzing data and reporting for fab conversion and excursion evaluation; performing final electrical and inline data correlations to drive yield and performance improvements, and completing electrical analysis of split lot and deviated process material and publications.
