During the COVID lockdowns in the UK I returned to the Optical Retail sector as an Assistant Manager

I managed various stores across the south as I covered secondments, opened practices, and transferred ownership to franchise partners working with national colleagues to ensure smooth transitions. Recruited and trained teams, led Company initiatives under the Area Manager in our region, responsible for health & safety and NHS compliance within my practice.

Managed workflow in the busy photo lab. Responsible for maintenance of the equipment, and for stock levels of the consumables used. Advised customers with photographic queries. Trained staff members to use the new equipment as required

Assisted people with day-to-day banking (deposits, withdrawals, etc) Identified potential insurance, savings, and mortgage customers and made appointments.

Advised customers on latest camera technology, and led the sales of cameras into the Digital Compact medium, as well as other Audio & Visual items we sold (video games consoles, DVDs etc) Assisted running of the busy photo lab within a team of 4, working various shift patterns. Ensure stock levels were accurate and the expensive items were secured properly using the provided security measure.
