With the engineering department broken down in several smaller teams, split across 2 sites, I remain directly responsible for 2 put of the 5 teams whilst having overall responsibility for the department. This includes the systems and processes with which we work, some based around the requirements of our parent company whilst others are developed specifically for our use in the UK.Key tasks include:- development, review and implementation of systems and processes.- monitoring of quality gate procedures.- quotation review and sign off, including costings, technical review and commercial requirements.- developing individuals within the team to increase their experience and knowledge in the fields within which we operate.- hiring new team members.- supporting business wide initiatives as part of the leadership and deployment team.
