Employed as a Quality Manager for a Tier 1 sequenced supplier of wheel and tyre assemblies for Toyota Motor Manufacturing, McLaren and more recently for Jaguar Land Rover. Reporting to the General Manager of the company, I am responsible for plant Quality across two state of the art Toyota Tsusho assembly facilities in Birmingham and Liverpool. I lead one Senior Quality Engineer and one Quality Engineer reporting to me in each facility. My primary function is to ensure all customer expectations are met through a process driven approach to manufacturing. I am responsible for customer MSA reviews, SIM performance, AIMS and PAWS claims resolution and ultimately JLRQ accreditation for both facilities. I have a proven record of problem solving and driving continuous improvement throughout the business. I am also the Environmental site leader for both facilities which involves ensuring the guidelines outlined in ISO14001 are maintained throughout the company. One of my major achievements was to solely implement ISO 14001 and achieve LRQA external certification with only 3 minor non-conformities. Producing and presenting Quality / Environmental KPI’s to JLR senior management, conducting Quality / Process / Environmental audits at the Birmingham assembly facility, providing technical support to customer’s engineering departments. Producing and presenting action and recovery plans to customer senior management teams.Competent to work with a large range of Quality tools including PSW, PPAP, APQP, SPC, 8D,PPS to provide containment and robust countermeasures through experience with Toyota Motor Manufacturing and Jaguar Land Rover. I consider myself competent in delivering Containment/countermeasure, KPI presentations in Excel, Power-point to senior management level.

During this appointment I was responsible for a team of 6 NDT inspectors in a high volume steel foundry supplying petro-chemical components to major oil companies throughout the world. My other responsibilities included conducting 3rd party inspection activities with Lloyds Register of Shipping and TUV, Compiling Quality plans, bill of materials and technical data manuals to accompany finished components and providing quality KPI performance data to senior management.
