I am a highly engaged servant leader. For 20+ years, making someone’s day better, helping them find the solution they are looking for, or simply making them smile, puts me in my happy place. That’s why fleet and facility maintenance works so well for me, everyday I get to help people work through challenges, and try to help them improve their situation. This just isn't with my direct teams either, the more stakeholders I can have a positive impact on, the bigger my happy place is!I’ve had the honor of creating all encompassing fleet maintenance programs that significantly increased asset reliability, greatly reduced down time, and ultimately improved asset utilization, in some areas up to 30%. On top of this, a love for finding a good deal makes me passionate about developing purchasing practices, negotiating contracts, and developing KPI’s to see just how good we can get. Having generated 15% - 40% cost reductions in multiple purchasing areas, especially when working with 1000+ asset fleets and multi-million-dollar maintenance programs also helps build up my happy place. Challenging the status quo, process improvements, change management… is something else I am passionate about, the more challenging the situation, the more moving parts, the more rewarding it is when we get everything to fall into place and the solution appears. I truly believe that the most amazing solutions can come from the most unlikely places when we keep an open and innovative mind.I’ve had some training along the way to guide my desire to help others. It started with a Journeymen Heavy Duty Truck and Transport certificate, worked its way through multiply leadership training courses; Foundations of Leadership, Supervisory Boot Camp, Communicating Effectively, Conflict Management and Resolution. I enjoyed getting my Six Sigma Green Belt to help in figuring out some lean processes, learning from Supply Chain Canada about Transportation and Procurement practices, (I will get my SMT designation one day) but first I will finish working through my Maintenance Management Professional designation through PEMAC. That’s me in a nutshell, if there is something I can help you with, I’d love to hear from you. j70L73@gmail.com
