On July the 1st 2014 I launched Studio HIVE Ltd, a Property Development Company with a Development and Project Managment capability. We are a team of experienced development entrepreneurs from professional property and construction backgrounds including surveyors, sustainability and building experts, architects, planners and project and development managers.In 2016 we agreed a strategic partnership with Atlas Land Ltd, a private equity house, based in Switzerland, with the aim to deliver exciting residential based, place-led, urban regeneration projects in the south west.The majority of the Studio Hive team have worked together for over 15 years, this provides us with a significant depth of experience and a cohesive team which generates a great work ethic when applied to any project.We are working on a number of exciting residential commercial and student accommodation development schemes in Bristol and across the south west.At Studio HIVE our team has extensive experience in managing and delivering complex commercial, residential, mixed-use buildings and developments. We use our experience to enhance and maximise the potential of the development assets whilst minimising the costs and providing efficient management regimes and identifying suitable exit strategies. AArchitecture by Studio Hive will offer a design-led approach to development challenges. We will support our development colleagues within the Studio Hive group as well as seeking our own work within the region. Architecture by Studio Hive are based in a beautiful Victorian Villa in Clifton where we have a studio of young, talented architects capable of working across many different sectors. We are starting our practice with a portfolio of interesting, local projects and are planning for significant growth over the coming months.

My responsibilities at Skanska UK were to assist the Swedish team in setting up a new housing business unit in the UK based on sound sustainability principles; leading the charge towards code 4/5 & 6 housing but also whilst adopting the core principles of scandinavian living. Light and space with functional design being the focus towards all work. During 2010/2011, we acquired 6 development sites in Bath, Bristol, cambridge and Cheltenham, ranging from 40 homes to 1000 homes.Following this I assisted the marketing team in developing the Skanska housing brand "Homes by Skanska". This brand and positioning has been the basis for changing the approach to selling homes across the Skanska markets in Scandinavia and has now formed the foundations for the "Work by Skanska" branding which is being driven forward by the group globally.We completed 128 homes in Cambridge on an award winning development called Seven Acres, which won the ‘What House Awards 2013 Gold Award – Best House’ the ‘Blue Ribbon Awards – Ideal Home of the year 2013’ and the ‘London Evening Standard – Eco Living Award’.Following Skanska's announcement to withdraw from consumer based housing schemes, my team were responsible for selling the sites with the benefit of the enhanced planning consents we achieved.During the later months leading to the closure of the business I had been developing a new business with some of my colleagues from Skanska and previous companies. On the 1st July 2014, "Studio HIVE" was launched as a new development business, and this is where I now spend all my working time.
