I was hired by DXC to lead the Digital Strategy and Roadmap development for Bupa's Digital Transformation in their Health Insurance business. Bupa is Australia's 2nd largest Health Insurer, they employ 22,000 people across Australia and NZ.• Developed the strategy and roadmap for an extensive technology transformation program for Bupa ANZ, Australia’s largest health insurance company.• Developed the digital strategy for Bupa's engagement with customers, medical providers and other partners.• Partnered with business and technology teams to coordinate the development and implementation of solutions.• Represented DXC at various Bupa leadership and governance forums.

• Developed the technology strategy and roadmap for a large suite of digital applications (web and mobile) servicing customers, medical providers, corporate groups and brokers.• Development of the IT strategy and systems roadmap at a time when nib was diversifying into new lines of business and expanding to overseas markets.• Managed the IT due diligence and integration streams for two large acquisitions – Tower Health Insurance in NZ (now nib NZ) and World Nomads Travel Insurance in Australia.• Developed the architecture roadmap and managed vendor selection and implementation for a number of supporting business systems including HR, Finance, Contracts Management, Customer Correspondence, Business Analytics and Records Management.• Developed a cloud strategy and completed a Proof of Concept using Amazon AWS, including a business case and implementation plan.

I was one of three senior nib Australia managers selected to manage the transition and rebranding of the Tower Health Insurance business following the acquisition by nib.• Developed the technology strategy and roadmap to support a change in product strategy, the first of its kind in the NZ market.• Delivered web and mobile applications to support direct sales, coinciding with new product launches and TV marketing campaigns.• Ownership of the IT budget for transition, delivered under budget.• Managed a large infrastructure program including new data centres, server and SAN hardware, networking infrastructure, call centre telephony system and business continuity plan.

In this role, I managed a team supporting the UK Corporate Technology enterprise applications platform. This team developed and hosted more than 200 web applications for various business units across the RBS group globally.• Developed an infrastructure roadmap to ensure the hosting platform remained compliant with RBS Group technical architecture guidance, including provision for future hardware and software upgrades.• Responsible for the infrastructure budget, including all related server, software and storage costs.• Coordinated application monitoring and reporting for the entire suite of more than 200 applications, including application usage, data usage growth, application exceptions and server load. Provided regular reports to all application owners and senior management.• Managed a server virtualisation project which delivered substantial cost savings by virtualising all Windows development and test servers.• Developed a Business Continuity plan and coordinated the application teams during a successful disaster recovery test. In recognition of my work, I was awarded an RBS Ovation Award which is only awarded to three staff across the technology team of approximately three thousand staff each month.

• Redeveloped the nib.com.au retail website with fully automated online joining functionality. This increased online sales from zero to 30% of total policy sales (across all channels) within 12 months and delivered substantial cost savings through process automation.• Managed all online development projects and data warehouse and reporting requirements within nib.• Tech lead for implementation of a new Imaging and Workflow platform.
