Performs duties to develop, sustain, and enhance cyberspace capabilities to defend national interests from attack and to create effects in cyberspace to achieve national objectives. Conduct Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) using established tactics, techniques, and procedures to achieve Service, COCOM and national objectives.

Provides core services by designing, configuring, installing, and managing data services at the operating system and server application level. Provides directory services utilizing dynamically assigned IP addresses, domain name server, storage area network, and electronic messaging resources. Manages secure authentication methods utilizing public key infrastructure (PKI) technologies and procedures. Standardizes user privileges and system settings using automated deployment tools such as group policy objects (GPO) system management server. Implements security fixes, operating system patches, and antivirus software. Develops, tests, and implements local restoral and contingency operations plans. Processes and reviews C4 systems requirement documentation, telecommunication service requests, status of acquisition messages, and telecommunication service orders. Performs strategic and budget planning for networks.

Operates and maintains avionics systems. Analyzes equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in avionics systems, radar, integrated test systems built-in-test (BIT), multiplexed data buss systems, recording systems, firee control systems, video display systems, flight instrumental, mission computer systems, electro-optical viewing systems (EVS), inertial navigation systems (INS), primary and secondary flight controls, automatic flight control, engine instrumentation, fuel management systems, central air data systems, electronic warfare (EW) systems, sensors, communication, and navigation systems, aircraft indicating systems, airborne warning and control systems (WACS), surveillance radar, joint surveillance target attack radar systems (JSTARS), and interrogator systems.

Deploys, operates and sustains ground and space based satellite, Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) wideband communications, telemetry, and instrumentation systems. Manages and performs design support, installation, calibration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, systems, equipment, and related subsystems. Monitors, analyzes, and directs performance checks and measurements to ensure acceptable performance. Configures equipment. Establishes and maintains communications links with distant terminals. Operates earth terminal control console and monitors system performance indicators. Implements operational directives. Manages wideband and satellite earth terminal facilities or activities.

Day-to-day administration and maintenance of the NMS systems such as adding new devices, auditing/applying network device configurations, adding user accounts, scheduling and monitoring jobs and maintaining data collectors. Perform routine auditing and monitoring of the systems and network management systems to ensure they are functioning properly and have all available devices under monitoring and management. Perform adhoc, daily, weekly and monthly report/audits, as necessary. Maintain and troubleshoot consistency between application device inventories. Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair network and software applications. Perform changes, support and maintenance of NMS related configurations of Cisco routers and switches. Maintain best practice knowledge on Cisco hardware and software deployed in the network along with the overall architecture and design of the products. Identifies and evaluates problems. Help train all Technical Services staff on the use of all the NMS tools to ensure successful utilization of the tools.

Provide systems, network, and video conferencing support, service, and analysis to GCI MBS customers (SchoolAccess, ConnectMD, and AdvantageVideo.)
