On-site field inspection of maintenance/construction methods and workmanship and documented on-site field data collection, surveying, and capturing of geographical locations for future projects and upgrades. Maintained records of both confidential/sensitive and non-confidential/non-sensitive records, files, and reports, reviewed plans, specifications, estimates, and contract paperwork, and analyzed calculations and measurements for material and labor estimates and expenses. Checked daily progress to ensure completion of work within the timeline, compiled and monitored construction records to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and departmental requirements, laws, conducted labor interviews, etc. Calculated and authorized itemized contractor payments through industry specific software. Tested various materials utilized in the construction, repair, and maintenance of highways and bridges including concrete (slump, air entrainment, temperature, and compressive strength), LRA, etc. Managed inventory and stock control procedures, established traffic control procedures during roadway maintenance, construction, and emergency operations by executing site/job-specific traffic control plans, checked the placement of cones, warning signs, barricades, and utilization of traffic flagging operations to maximize safety, mitigate risk and inform both the traveling public and contract/agency personnel in the work zone. Prepared documentation including daily time-keeping, equipment, and vehicle usage forms, inventory, accident forms, preventative maintenance inspection reports, material usage forms, contract specific documentation, and alike. Bridge/culvert/roadway inspection to determine maintenance/repair prioritization and the need for contracted road work services. Strict adherence to department safety standards and practices, policies, and procedures.
