I am a partner at Taft Law in the Compliance, Investigations, and White Collar Defense and Commercial Litigation practice groups, working out of our Washington, DC and Indianapolis, Indiana offices. As a former federal prosecutor, I have extensive experience working with federal law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, and on international cross-border matters. I leverage that experience and knowledge to provide clients with the full range of advice and guidance needed to navigate the ever-increasing complexity of the federal regulatory and criminal justice systems.Prior to joining Taft, I spent more than a decade with the federal government, serving the last six years as a white-collar prosecutor with the Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Fraud Section in Washington, DC. While with the DOJ, I investigated and prosecuted individuals and corporations across the United States and internationally. These investigations related to complex conduct in numerous areas, including securities, accounting, bank, and environmental fraud, insider trading, FCPA violations, and money laundering. Before joining the DOJ, I worked at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, serving as an enforcement attorney in its Washington, DC headquarters. At the OCC, I investigated nationally chartered banks and thrifts and institution-affiliated parties (IAPs) related to violations of federal regulations and statutes, unsafe or unsound practices, and compliance with BSA/AML requirements.
