With over 29 years consolidated experience working across a broad range of projects, including mining, ports, infrastructure (process and non-process), mineral processing, and business improvement, acting on both consultant and client teams for small, mid-tier and major companies, I would regard myself as an accomplished management professional with solid delivery results, specialising in project and operational risk management and front end development within junior and mid-tier mining Companies. With an increased focus within businesses around risk and compliance, I have been fortunate in being able to transition my career and apply key transferrable skills and prior experience into an area that I am very passionate about. As Manager - Risk and Compliance I hold a position that is required to ensure our business not only understands, but is proactively managing it key risks and compliance obligations. Reporting directly through to our executive and board, I have a responsibility to be across key current and emerging issues, keeping our senior leaders fully informed.Key areas of expertise include:* Actively educating and promoting risk management, and the value it brings to the business;* Compliance program implementation and continual improvement;* Creating solid relationships to enhance and contribute to Company culture;* Confident presentation skills;* Ability to "herd the cats"When I am not at work, I find myself kicking a soccer or footy ball around the oval with my little boy (he hasnt made his mind up yet), and in my own time I am in the process of building a Cessna flight simulator which is challenging, however very rewarding, and a lot of fun as well.Feel free to reach out, would love to connect.
