A progressive career working with the ever-changing technology of the printing industry. Managing teams in production, sales, commercial and technical environments. Starting out as B1 machine minder, progressing rapidly to Factory Manager responsible for managing multiple presses and their crews running 24-7 with a team of 42 staff.Talent spotted for my application knowledge and communication skills, both technically and commercially, I moved in to press operator training - covering all aspects of application, including productivity and print quality improvements. This included implementing the latest technology to press halls to maximise press uptime yield and optimise revenue streams.This then led to me joining one of the UK’s most progressive ink suppliers at the time, Stehlin Hostag Ink UK Ltd, as their national technical sales manager - with the responsibility of both product development and improvement and technical sales support nationally.Utilising my commercial and technical experience from press side to communicate at all levels within the target customer base to rapidly help develop that business and quadruple its revenues in a matter of years, turning the company in to a market leading supplier to the industry whilst also pioneering ISO12647-2 in to the print industry supply chain.Following the sale of Stehlin Hostag to Huber group, I joined as a shareholder for the start up company Druckfarben Ltd, taking this company from start up to a £10m turnover as Commercial and Technical Director running a sales and manufacturing team of 23 whilst being responsible for 3 sites, all sales, manufacturing, distribution, supplier and key partner activities and also working with the UK’s leading printing companies from press side technical level through to commercial negotiations in the board room.Druckfarben, having been noticed for both its customer service levels and progression in the market place, was acquired in 2016 by the second largest ink manufacturer in the world, Flint Group, where I took on the role of UK Commercial and Technical Director continuing my management role for the UK and Ireland sales and technical activities.I left Flint Group at the end of 2018 to take on a new challenge and join another new start up - MA Inks and Consumables U.K. Ltd - as their technical sales director to manage, advise on and develop their range of press room inks and consumables.Today I head up UV sales for INX International UK Ltd - offering UV curing solutions to all lithographic, flexographic, screen and digital sectors of the global print market.
