Through application of marketing and branding surveys, interviews, and frameworks, I have developed a keen awareness for global consumer trends in the sport environment. Through longitudinal data collection and qualitative coding I've made novel contributions to the existing sport management literature.My research has taken form through two projects:• One investigates how new sport league and team brands develop over time through uncovering consumer brand perceptions. I presented the preliminary results at the 2016 Sport Marketing Association Conference, and in September of 2018, the manuscript was published in the Journal of Sport Management. • The other project examines satellite fans of European soccer teams. By comparing and contrasting consumer behavior of Chinese and American fans toward foreign soccer leagues, I aim to share a deeper knowledge of international fan motivation and cross-cultural connection and how they will play an integral role in the future of the global sport industry. -
