In the past 2 years we have increased enrollment in 2 of 3 programs, increased flight hours flown, and secured the funding for a $20 million dollar investment for a new fleet of 32 single engine Cirrus airplanes.• Analyzed revenue streams for all three programs. Identified areas that were losing money and why, then designed and implemented achievable solutions. All areas (programs) became profitable and revenue increased by 10% across the academic departments.• Spearheaded the development of new innovative curriculum and instruction to bring the College back to the forefront of Aviation education. Researched industry, peer institutions, and alumni which resulted in the development of three certification programs: Unmanned Aerial Systems, Dispatch, and Aviation Administration (graduate level). The results are a galvanized and excited alumni, student body, and industry partners.• Focused on reducing full time faculty workload, specifically faculty overload (overtime). Recruited and hired seven full time faculty members, five part-time faculty members, helping reduce workload and bring recent relevant industry experience to the programs.• Highly encourage innovation in the classroom. Pushed faculty to explore updates to technology, software, hardware, and course ware. Developed a plan to include cost estimates with faculty for updated low fidelity simulations and virtual reality (VR) devices. Resulted in a new approved budget for low fidelity and VR device upgrades for course development and improvement. Show less -
