Through hands-on leadership and a strategic mindset, I fostered an atmosphere where both staff and students would thrive to ensure the well-being of the academy’s community.My wealth of experience includes serving as Controller, 401(k) Plan Administrator and Fiduciary, Benefits Plan Administrator, Human Resource Officer, IT Administrator and Facility Manager.Accomplishments include:• Implementing an investment strategy in 2022 that led to a significant increase in earnings for 2023 with earnings more than doubling in 2024. • Played a critical role in developing a three-year strategic plan, including validating the project’s approach, scope, key deliverables and overall project timing. Surveyed stakeholders (e.g. parents, school systems, state agencies, funders, community partners) to gain input on future services and programs. • Assisted the Executive Director in grant submissions and fundraising campaigns that awarded the Foundation over $300,000.00 in funding, including from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Neighborhood Assistance Act, Universal Service Administrative Company’s E-Rate Program and School Security Competitive Grant Program (SSCGP). • Served as the lead in relocating the school's facility, including securing an appropriate building, negotiating a new leasing arrangement and performing all project management duties.• Administered the transition to non-profit status. Performed a complete migration of all levels of business operations, including rewriting all business insurances, employee benefits, payroll, establishing new company credit, and addressing all related local, state and federal filings. Assisted in writing of the corporation’s bylaws, fiduciary duties statement, conflict of interest policy, and document retention policy. Addressed numerous policy gaps by writing the company’s first Employee Handbook, Emergency & Crisis Handbook, Accounting Manual, and implementing stricter guidelines and rules for record keeping, bookkeeping, cash controls, safety & security, privacy and confidentiality.
