35 years experience in mining from Oil sands, lead/zinc, gold/copper, metallurgical/thermal coal and Diamonds. I started my mining career in the Yukon Territory, Canada in 1989 and I operate various types of mining equipment from Euclid 170 haul trucks, Caterpillar 777,789,793,797 haul trucks eventually moving up the ladder to Komatsu PC8000, Caterpillar 6090, 6030, Hitachi EX8000, EX 5500 & 3600 shovels, D-6 to D-11 track dozers, 834, 854 RTD dozers, 14g to 24m series graders, various track excavators from 330 to ex 1200, also spent 4 years operating large excavators( ex 8000, ex3600, ex 2500, pc 2000, ex 1900, rh 120 & rh 170) loading haul trucks. I worked as Operations foreman for Grande Cache Coal, Sherritt Coal (Obed Mountain Mine) and Kearl Oilsands Project (North American) lining up equipment operators for daily activities, ensure swift and efficient startups, follow up on each assignment and ensure everything is done in a safe productive manor. I am able to work as a team to efficiently change priority sequences in pit operations working with each department to maximize results. I am currently employed with Imperial Oil ExxonMobil Kearl Fort McMurray, Alberta Canada as an autonomous pit technician responsible for efficient and effective use of Caterpillar MineStar program to design autonomous haul routes, create weather, speed and exclusion zones. Adjust for safe operations in inclement weather conditions. Safely recover autonomous haul trucks and return to operations. Coordinate with mine builders and dispatch for creation of new dig and dumping areas and fine tune existing plans for efficient operation to maximize safety and production. I have excellent computer skills for day to day reports and other paperwork required. AMSA(alberta open pit supervisor safety certification), various management skills certificates, incident investigation and hazard assesment courses. I also have Petroleum Safety training, CSTS, First Aid, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, 5x gas monitoring, safe work permit training, isolation & lockout, risk identification, wildlife awareness and I have recently done "Leadership For Safety Excellence" course. I also have a valid class 1 drivers license with Air, clean abstract. I believe in safety as #1 priority in everything I do.
