I am the climate editor at Atmos, where I write, commission, and edit feature-length stories for the online news site. I have a Ph.D. in Biology from Duke University, where I secured and managed over $50,000 of funding and published 5 peer-reviewed publications. My core skills include writing, science communication, reporting, editing, data analysis, and educational outreach.At Atmos, I develop coverage priorities and editorial strategies related to climate and the environment. I also recruit and manage freelance writers and schedule and maintain an editorial calendar. Previously, I was an Associate Editor at Eos, where I edited news stories, produced promotional videos, and supported print production of the monthly magazine.
