About Jason Docton
World of Warcraft guild leader turned non-profit founder- I’m fighting for mental health care as a human right. Too many people cannot access or afford the mental health care they deserve. In 2018, just 15% of young adults accessed professional mental health care. Tragically, I saw this fact first hand when a guild member chose to take their life because they couldn’t afford help. Their life ignited a passion and power within the gaming community that can’t be stopped. With the incredible support of the gaming community and my team, Rise Above The Disorder has helped over 40,000 people have the cost of their mental health care entirely paid for. I’m proud to lead this non-profit approach to universal mental health care that daily changes lives.I’ve had the honor of sharing my work with the United Nations, speaking on-behalf of the gaming community to the World Health Organization, and challenging unfair practices in gaming alongside the European Union Parliament.I’m committed to this vision of a world where everyone has access to the health, happiness, and hope that we all deserve.
