MANAGING PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN BY ALPHA INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING - Shop / store fit out - office / industrial / retail refurbishment - new build - dilapidation - maintenance - electrical & lighting - FA & EML - data - groundworks & civils - cladding - security incl bollards and shutters - covering the commercial , retail , industrial sectors along with infrastructure and rail throughout the whole of the UK fully conversant in all aspects of the role of contracts manager , from initial client enquiry , tender stage , pre start & progress meetings , liaising with clients and PMs ,maintaining & monitoring of high standards of workmanship, programming & ordering of materials & sub contractors, cost control ,H&S / CDM compliance, through to final account , post contract customer relations . managing a range of projects throughout the UK & Ireland for ALPHA , with values ranging up to £1 million to complete within budjet & to tight deadlines on a national basis as main / principal contractor include retail , commercial , fit out , education sector, health care ,high street stores & industrial for many blue chip , plc & national chainsmy background is a time served joiner , having served a 3yr apprenticeship with a local construction & joinery company upon leaving school. Previous to my current position , i formed & built up a succesfull construction company in 1994 , the company grew in size from 2 employees to 28 at the peak of the business , undertaking contracts for many clients including local authorities , cheshire constabulary , schools & education sector , the national trust , several leading housing associations & large number of the leading national charities such as help the aged & cancer researchthe main core of elites business included improvement , refurbishment , alteration & fit out to schools & education buildings , public buildings , historic national trust ,offices , & urban regeneration contracts for a number of housing associations
