Responsible for network security, server management, storage administration, IT project management, desktop support, and user account management for the 381st Training Group’s unclassified and classified networks. Directed cross-functional teams that supported up to 1,300 users.- Managed the design and installation of a new 13TB Dell|EMC Storage Area Network (SAN). This upgrade cut backup time from 42 hours to 7 hours, and provided much needed growth for the unit.- Designed and implemented upgrades to the enterprise network including the purchase of new, more powerful servers that provided greater flexibility in hardware utilization and allowed for the use of more sophisticated software programs.- Managed teams in the implementation of client system upgrades including hardware, security patches, and software updates.- Revamped and administered the Disaster Recovery Program for the 381st Training Support Squadron. My efforts resulted in inspection rating improvement from unsatisfactory to outstanding, and I was called upon to provide consultative services throughout the base.- Instructed classes for all tier one tech support personnel on hardware and software troubleshooting.
