- Primary responsibility for the Steering Sensor product-line.- Work with internal and external customers to define new products, generate proposals and project plans, and develop appropriate product performance and validation specifications.- Act as a lead technical representative in support of new business initiatives, the development of design concepts and costing, and leading formal design reviews.- Create and maintain bills of material, DFMEA, prototype process flows, specifications, and other types of engineering documentation.- Review, and approve changes to detailed drawing sets and specifications, from design concept stage through production, at the component and assembly level.- Troubleshoot and fix part and test fixture issues prior to the start of validation testing.- Analyze dimensional stack-ups at the component and assembly level to assure proper part functionality.- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in drawing creation and interpretation.- Identify, track, and resolve open issues for products under development.- Procure prototype sources/tooling, and verify tooling capability.- Perform prototype product failure analysis on customer returns, scrap & DV/PV parts and develop appropriate corrective actions.- Work with and/or direct Technicians and Designers in product development activities.

- Analyze interfacing assemblies in a digital environment using Teamcenter / VisMockup to assure zero defects in prototype build- Define program specific part interface requirements to be used in evaluations- Provide leadership for interface compatibility efforts and issue resolution per program timing- Work closely with Release Engineers, Suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet the needs of the cross-functional team- Actively track the status of all block requirements using the E2KS system- Keep informed of potential design changes and provide feedback on how they affect packaging area

- Primary vehicle platform responsibility for the Bradley Combat Vehicle- Experienced with working on many types of projects including IR&D, Modernization, Failure/Root Cause Investigations, and Production and Testing Support.- Led platform modernization and IR&D projects for the fuel system, engine compartment structure, and the intake and exhaust grilles with responsibility over the development and management of scope, requirements, budget, and risk- Provided technical support for Production issues as a member of an Engineering fast response team- Experienced with the development of design and process FMEA- Member of the Field Problem Review Board, tasked with capturing fielded vehicle repair data, assessing issues, and recommending action to be taken to improve the reliability of the Bradley Combat Vehicle- Supported U.S. Army vehicle performance testing by providing root cause analysis and corrective action responses for vehicle issues- Management of many special projects involving product improvements, engineering analysis, Production part waivers/deviations, and/or technical integration- Provided oversight to insure project deliverables were completed in accordance with Department of Defense standards and company guidelines- Used GD&T and Tolerance Stack analysis in projects to insure proper fit and clearances- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project applications

- Delegation and supervision of the day-to-day tasks of project personnel- Initiation, management, and optimization of awarded jobs on the manufacturing floor- Experienced with launching and finalizing new projects using the APQP and PPAP processes- Creation of reports, presentations, and other documentation compiled from project data- Use of various inspection techniques to assure quality of parts produced- Responsible Engineer on the “Agile Manufacturing Cell” Research and Development project

- Responsibilities include the repair all company-owned electronic assets (notebook and desktop computers, dot-matrix and laser printers, fax machines, modems, TV/VCR's, and other special projects as needed).
