I've spent the last 20 years researching, developing and investing in deep technology. Some highlights: during my Ph.D. at CMU I developed novel data storage and security technology for which I won the 2012 Allen Newell Award (which is named after one of the father's of Artificial Intelligence) and the SOSP Best Paper Award (2009), during my post-doc at Stanford I founded a startup which pioneered a new type of mobile security technology which we successfully commercialized, during my career in Venture Capital I worked on investments in companies that sold for nine figures to Red Hat, Microsoft, Navient, Splunk, and NVIDIA and several other category leading companies with a combined enterprise value of $20B+.
