As a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Master Plumbers, I led the operational management of professional and shared services across both Master Plumbers and its subsidiary, Masterlink. I was responsible for strategic business planning, budgeting, corporate reporting, risk management, and compliance. Additionally, I played a key role in enhancing communications and driving industry engagement initiatives. Drawing on my extensive experience in New Zealand's not-for-profit sector, I have consistently supported executive teams in achieving strategic priorities, with a proven track record in membership growth and developing training and business functions.I led a cross-functional national team of five direct managers, overseeing events, membership, training, legal (including complaints), business support, and service delivery (including IT and special projects). Through focused member engagement strategies, I successfully increased training event registrations by over 600% year-on-year (2022–2023) and grew branch and society event registrations by 68%.Key achievements include developing and implementing a customised member onboarding process, significantly improving new member satisfaction and engagement. Leading the implementation of the iMIS CRM system and tech stack, which enabled personalised communication and detailed tracking of member interactions through an engagement scoring matrix.I conducted competitor and market analysis to inform strategic decisions and enhance member value propositions. As a liaison between members and the organisation, I ensured that member needs were addressed promptly and effectively. I also managed IT systems and CRM, ensuring data integrity and using analytics to drive member engagement strategies, delivering regular insights and reports to the leadership team.

I successfully aligned Masterlink's strategic goals with sector reforms, particularly during the Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE), enhancing the company’s value proposition to stakeholders throughout the transition. This strategic oversight included the design, development, and launch of educational services, such as 13 technical courses and an Essential Soft Skills program, which served over 300 apprentices in the Plumbing, Gasfitting, and Drainlaying sectors.To ensure our programs met learner needs and industry standards, I conducted extensive stakeholder research and engagement, including organizing focus groups and surveys. Additionally, I introduced and implemented education technologies such as Moodle and Articulate 360, establishing digital learning platforms that streamlined training delivery for learners and Master Plumber members.I also managed the establishment of the Master Plumbers Training Trust and oversaw the successful application for its NZQA Private Training Establishment status, expanding training opportunities across the industry. This included the development of micro-credential qualifications and the implementation of systems such as a Learning Management System (LMS), a Quality Management System (QMS), and a Student and Apprentice Management System to improve operational efficiency.Furthermore, I led the design, development, and implementation of educational technology to deliver supplementary training programs for apprentices using a blend of face-to-face, online, and blended learning methods.
