My role as National Sales Manager, is to grow our market share of the Industrial & Automatic Door Service Sales business in the UK. I am focusing on increasing the team across the UK, setting targets increasing revenues from Service Sales as well as Tendered Repairs and Upgrade Works from new and existing customers. Targeting Blue Chip business, FM, Distribution, Retail, Healthcare and Local Councils up and down the country.

In this role, I managed the UK Sales for Service Contracts and Repair Works. Dealing with ‘Blue Chip’ customers on a National and a regional basis. Increasing sales from service contracts and repairs for all types of Industrial Doors from Aircraft Hangers, Hermetically Sealing, Acoustic, Insulated Sectional, High Speed, Freezer Units, Roller Shutters, Fire Doors, Dock Levelers and Crash Doors. I managed accounts for National Account customers including Morrisons (MML) Greggs Plc & the RNLI. Ensuring KPI’s were achieved and internal teams adhere to customer contracts requirements.I also managed a team of engineers across the UK as well as office staff. My role was to manage the teams on a daily basis and hire new employees. During this time, I have personally achieved sales figures of £172k for 979 doors on service contracts across the UK.

In this role, I managed the relationship between KONE and City FM / ASDA. I developed and grew the account to include more units in service on the portfolio, increased the revenues for new installations and won tendered repairs. I managed on a daily basis the expectations of the customer on our service delivery to include 1st time fixes, unit availability and completion of service visits. I managed to increase the unit portfolio (Lifts, Escalators & back of house) from 1,346 in 2010 to 1593 (18.4% increase) and secured assurances that another 40 distribution centers will come on contract during the coming year. We also secured the service & repair contract for 2000 Automatic doors on the portfolio. So in total grew the portfolio by 167%.I helped grow orders in the region of £3, 800, 000.00 which includes full replacement Elevators, Escalators, Scissor lifts and Tendered Repair Works. The total revenue brought in for this account in 2011 was £6,500,000.00 with 100% KPI hits for 12 months consecutively.

Projects Manager (fixed cost reduction)Retrieved in excess of £120k in private fuel submissions, that otherwise would have been lost, from 206 staff members that have a company vehicle and pay for their private fuel. This was for the period Dec 08 – April 09Converted another 157 staff member’s, out of a remaining 286, to opt out of benefit in kind, due to them being financially better off. In the long run, saving the company in the region of another £189K.The proposal was to ‘opt’ everyone out of Benefit in Kind, making a total of 492. Compensate the 129 that it was not financially beneficial for, in the region of £192k and still have an annual saving of £588k on private fuel, national insurance & tax amounts for the whole 492 staff members.
