I lead the investment function for the insurance and reinsurance businesses of Fidelity Management & Research. Prior I was Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Manager of Managers at Prudential Finanical, Inc. where I created a new team to oversee and manage the general account’s investment mandates. Mandates spanned both public and private debt, hybrid asset classes, and public equities. I was also the investment officer for the Prudential Foundation. Previously I led the Asia ex-Japan Portfolio Management at Prudential, overseeing Asia general account portfolios in seven countries. My team was responsible for asset liability management, strategic asset allocation, asset manager selection and supporting business development in the region. Portfolios included local currency and USD fixed income, equity, and alternative investments in Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, Indonesia and China. I have insurance asset management and asset allocation experience with Life, P&C and Reinsurance across multiple capital regimes. Earlier in my career I specialized in securitized products as a research analyst, trader and portfolio manager. I was given a stretch assignment in Tokyo to serve as portfolio manager for an investment advisor managing yen rates for The Hartford. Before entering my career in asset management I was a Mathematics and Statistics lecturer at Northern Arizona University. I have lived and worked in Asia and Eastern Europe.
